Chapter 8: Tools & Accessories
Complete accessories list, installation tools, and consumables for LPR/ANPR deployment
8.1 Accessories Overview
Successful LPR/ANPR deployment requires a comprehensive set of accessories, tools, and consumables beyond the core system components. Inadequate tooling and missing accessories are among the most common causes of installation delays and quality defects. The following accessories list diagram provides a visual inventory of all required items organized by category.

8.3 Spare Parts Inventory
A minimum spare parts inventory must be maintained on-site or at the nearest service depot to meet the defined repair time objectives. The following table defines the recommended spare parts inventory for a system with 1–10 lanes. Scale quantities proportionally for larger deployments.
| Spare Part | Recommended Qty (1–10 lanes) | Replacement Trigger | Lead Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| LPR Camera (complete unit) | 1 | Camera failure or damage | Same day (from depot) |
| IR Illuminator | 1 | Illuminator failure or aging | Same day (from depot) |
| PoE Switch (managed) | 1 | Switch failure | Same day (from depot) |
| UPS Battery Module | 2 | Battery capacity <80% of rated | On-site stock |
| STP Cat6 Cable (50m) | 1 reel | Cable damage requiring replacement | On-site stock |
| Surge Protector (Ethernet) | 4 | After lightning strike or surge event | On-site stock |
